The Byrings Kingdom

Tigerlily took a deep breath and stared at Silky across the enourmous stone table. Ordinarily it would have been used to serve feasts apon or to provide a meeting area for deligates of allied nations, but that was back in the days of the emporer and emperess. Now the dusty surfice sat empty with only the kingdom's sole ally and bedragled young rular at its seats. Silky figited under the cold golden gaze and tried to occupy herself with the scratches she had gotten on her forelegs from walking through the mines rather than meet it. A long, exausted sigh finally attracted her eyes though where she found Tiger with her head burried in her paws. She flattened her ears guiltily as their eyes met and Tiger rubbed her temples with her paws. "You know we're in danger now right?" Tiger's tired, cracked voice broke the silence. "My advisers and citizens have been hissing at my back ever since I started suporting you that something like this was going to happen. Now I have to go back and tell them they were right and that we need to keep an eye on a new kingdom that may be a potential threat." Silky looked away again, tears pricking the back of her eyes. 'She wasnt trying to cause trouble. She just wanted to see her "friend" again. At least, she'd thought he was her friend.' Tigerlily looked out ofoneifthe large open windows over the jungle. She settled herfur and got to her paws, making her way to the door. "Well, on my way back I might as well stop off at afew kingdoms andtry to build some more alliances just in case. Try not to do anything that might set off a full-scale war while im gone." She said as she left.

Silky trudged tiredly up to her room and flopped onto the big round cutiom of her bed. Dust flew imto the air in an enormous cloud but she didnt care, and whatched it float down aimlessly as she curled into a ball, finally letting the exausted, confused, and ashamed tears ofthe day fall.
